El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el rol que las teorías subjetivas, profesionales y científicas tienen en la formación profesional y presentar una propuesta para lograr que se integren entre ellas, en el contexto de un enfoque de formación basado en competencias. A partir de un análisis de estudios empíricos y teóricos sobre la formación profesional, se argumenta que los profesionales ejercen su acción profesional, orientados por tres tipos de saberes: teorías científicas, profesionales y subjetivas. Sin embargo, en la investigación y formación profesional, a estas últimas teorías se las ha abordado escasamente. De esto se concluye sobre la necesidad de incluir e integrar sistemáticamente en la investigación y formación profesional a estos tres saberes. De esta forma, se contribuye a que los profesionales aborden de manera más efectiva los complejos problemas sociales y ambientales que nuestra sociedad enfrenta hoy en día.
Este estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar características-condiciones de vulnerabilidad social ante el crecimiento postraumático y severidad subjetiva de hogares expuestos y afectados por un desastre climatológico en Chile. Por medio de un diseño transversal-correlacional, 324 hogares respondieron instrumentos de impacto subjetivo al evento, crecimiento postraumático, caracterización sociodemográfica y condiciones físico-materiales asociadas a la reconstrucción posdesastre. Como resultados, los grupos expuestos-susceptibles que presentaron una significativa severidad subjetiva fueron los adulto/as mayores, personas con discapacidad/enfermedad crónica, de sexo femenino, con bajos ingresos económicos y sin educación superior, sumándose quienes se encuentran en la condición de daño parcial-total en su vivienda y no recibieron apoyo para la reconstrucción habitacional. Por otro lado, el colectivo que presentó un mayor crecimiento postraumático fueron los adultos mayores, sumándose quienes se encuentran en la situación de daño parcial-total de la vivienda y los que se encontraban satisfechos con la reconstrucción posdesastre. Concluimos con la identificación de susceptibilidades-capacidades diferenciales entre los grupos vulnerados, lo cual debiese promover medidas evaluativas, preventivas e interventivas adecuadas a las características psicosociales de cada población, lo cual debe ser acompañado de un fortalecimiento institucional integral en la gestión del riesgo de desastre.
El incremento de eventos extremos —a causa del cambio climático— conlleva no solo a la necesidad local de fortalecer las capacidades de afrontamiento y de resiliencia a nivel comunitario, sino también, al replanteo sobre la idoneidad de los planes formativos universitarios en el desarrollo de profesionales competentes ante estos nuevos riesgos emergentes. Bajo este contexto, el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo valorar la implementación de un proceso de diagnóstico de necesidades comunitarias ante un desastre climático, esto mediante la aplicación metodológica de la estrategia de aprendizaje-servicio (ApS) en un curso de estudiantes de psicología en Chile. Para esto seleccionamos un estudio de caso representativo de gestión comunitaria ante un desastre climático en el norte de Chile, esto bajo un diseño de investigación acción-participativa (IAP). Los datos son producidos mediante la triangulación intermétodo de seis técnicas, esquematizando los resultados del proceso de aprendizaje en cuatro áreas: i) teórico-conceptual, ii) metodológica, iii) práctica y iv) ético-política. Los resultados relevan el uso de ApS en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del diagnóstico comunitario, identificando tanto ventajas como limitaciones en el desarrollo de competencias disciplinares, transversales profesionales y del servicio entregado. Se concluye con la importancia de integrar estrategias horizontales, participativas y situadas en los procesos de enseñanza profesional, esto acorde al tipo de formación universitaria integral que requiere la problemática psicosocial compleja del cambio climático
