Now, more than ever, with the existence of the new blockchain technology, smart contracts started its revolution. Although the industry has been practices smart contracts using blockchain technology, limited study available on how blockchain technology contributes to Halal supply chain management. Thus, the aim of this chapter is to review the roles, promises and benefits of smart contracts based on blockchain technology for Halal supply chain management applications. An extensive literature exploration is conducted to reveal the existing literature on smart contracts using blockchain technology. The authors have faith in that the findings in this chapter can be used as a solid base for the researchers and practitioners of smart contracts in Halal supply chain management.

Objective - This paper explores the relationship between working capital management (WCM), profitability and capital structure. A preliminary framework provides an understanding of the role of WCM components with capital structure and profitability.
Methodology/Technique - From the review of empirical studies it is confirmed that WCM is a main component in the financial aspects of the firms as even though WCM is targeted for the short-term decisions it has effect on the firm for the long-run.
Findings - Companies need to use working capital policy and procedures in order to navigate performance. Emphasizing on WCM would lead to formal cost controls and performance together with firm's growth and productivity. The framework is set to help financial manager of the firms to balance the costs and benefits of debt and equity and reduce common obstacles on managing cash flows for long-term fixed investment.
Novelty - The preliminary framework is original and unique that will contribute towards the enrichment of relevant literature. Practically, this study contributes to provide a better understanding of the managers and enable them to apply WCM strategies and make sure the firm is able to meet the stakeholder requirements.

Malaysia is one of the countries which welcome expatriates from all over the world to fill the need for skilled employees. This paper provides an overview of how cultural divergence influence expatriates performance in Malaysia. The main purpose of this study is to identify the important issues which directly or indirectly, positively or negatively influence expatriate’s performance in day to day work. This study reviewed 55 papers related to cultural divergence, employee performance, cultural intelligence, and human resource management practices in Malaysia. The finding highlights that expatriates experience cultural clashes between foreign and local values, which pose direct influences on expatriates’ performance. This study contributes to the body of knowledge in the cross-cultural management field as well as practical implications to expatriating firms. Finally, this research is beneficial and informative, especially for Malaysian researchers and managers in International Human Resource Management (IHRM) field.
