Résumé
Cet article1 traite du concept de soi et du statut sociométrique d'adolescentes et d'adolescents membres des minorités raciales et qui fréquentent des écoles françaises de l'Ontario. L'évaluation du concept de soi a reposé sur la version française de deux tests reconnus: celui de Harter ( 1985) et celui de Marsh ( 1988); l'évaluation du statut sociométrique a fait appel à la technique de nominations de pairs. Les résultats significatifs concernent le statut sociométrique; ils indiquent a) que les filles des minorités raciales sont choisies moins souvent comme partenaires que les filles de la majorité; b) que l'appartenance à une minorité raciale n'affecte pas les choix sociométriques des garçons, ni le rejet social des filles et des garçons; c) qu'il existe des différences liées au pays d'origine des élèves.
