AbstractTemperature maps for depths of 500, 1000 and 2000 m are described, based on enlarged data base of 395 boreholes with geothermal data. Together with heat flow density map they emphasize the Pannonian basin geothermal anomaly, and some other anomalies, such as the ^ate' field. In central Slovenia and coastal area average depth temperatures prevail.rtovanje bodo~ih raziskav pri iskanju geotermalnih virov, temve~ so kot dopolnilo ostalim geofizikalnim kartam uporabne {e za hidrogeologijo podzemnih in pripovr{in-skih vod, ekonomsko geologijo, {tudij termalne evolucije sedimentnih bazenov, geodinamiko, geotermijo skorje in litosfere, ugotavljanje klimatskih sprememb v nekaj zadnjih stoletjih in tiso~letjih, na~rtovanje globokega znanstvenega vrtanja, itd. Kratka vsebinaZa ozemlje Republike Slovenije sta opisani metodologija in rezultati geotermičnih raziskav na osnovi meritev v 72 vrtinah. Podatki o geotermičnih količinah: formacijski temperaturi, toplotni prevodnosti in radiogeni produkciji toplote kamenin kakor tudi o gostoti toplotnega toka, so zbrani v računalniško vodeni bazi podatkov. Njihovo sintezo podajata karta formacijskih temperatur v globini 1000 m in karta gostote površinskega toplotnega toka. To ustreza idealno izkoristljivi toplotni moči 144 MWt. Na geotermično perspektivnih območjih s površino 3200 km^ cenimo dosegljivo toplotno energijo do globine 3000 m na okoli 8,5 • lO^^ J.
AbstractThe paper presents the methodology and the results of geothermal investigations, based on seventy-two boreholes in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia. The data of fundamental geothermal quantities: formation temperature, thermal conductivity, and radiogenic heat production of rocks as well as surface heat flow density are stored in a computerized data base. Their synthesis is given in the map of formation temperatures at 1000 m depth and in the map of surface heat flow density. In both maps the thermal difference between the Pannonian basin in the eastern and the Dinarides in the western part of Slovenia is clearly expressed. However, in the boundary area between these two tectonic units, for a distance of about 100 km in SW-NE direction, elevated horizontal gradients of formation temperature as well as heat flow density are evident. A small positive thermal anomaly in the Ljubljana depression is conspicuous. The low-temperature geothermal resources in Slovenia such as thermal springs and thermal water from boreholes, are estimated to have a flow rate of 1120 kg/s, corresponding to the ideal total heat production of 144 MWt. In the geothermally promising areas amounting to 3200 km^ the rate of accessible resource base (ARB) down to the depth of 3 km has been assessed to about 8.5 x lO^» J.
