Introdução: A literatura evidencia que a síndrome de reação a drogas com eosinofilia e sintomas sistêmicos (DRESS) é uma reação de hipersensibilidade grave de etiologia multifatorial causada principalmente por um número limitado de drogas eliciadoras em pacientes com predisposição genética. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática de literatura. Foram incluídos todos os trabalhos encontrados nas bases de dados, realizados em seres humanos, publicados nos últimos 05 anos, em português, inglês, artigos que disponibilizem seu texto completo, artigos com versão online, produções que estivessem publicadas entre os anos de 2017 a 2022, artigos sobre aspectos clínicos e laboratoriais da síndrome de DRESS associada carbamazepina. Resultados e Discussão: Foram avaliados qualitativamente 3 estudos pois tinham os seus resultados pertinentes com os objetivos do estudo sendo descritos o nome do primeiro autor, título do artigo, periódico, desenho do estudo, ano de publicação, local do estudo, faixa etária, manifestações clínicas e achados laboratoriais e pontuação de acordo com STROBE. Conclusão: Com essa pesquisa buscou-se mostrar que apesar dos dados incipientes e limitados a síndrome DRESS é uma doença complexa composta por interações complicadas entre drogas, vírus e respostas imunes e que precisa de mais dados que evidencie alternativas para diagnóstico e tratamento precoce.
