A mathematical model has been set up for current efficiency in a chlorate cell acting as an ideal electrochemical tubular reactor with a linear increase in hypochlorite concentration from the entrance to the exit. Good agreement was found between the results on current efficiency experimentally obtained under simulated industrial chlorate production conditions and the theoretical values provided by the mathematical model.
An increased complexity of modern computer based systems is accompanied by advanced software architectures embedded into a system. Common approach for designing consumer electronic products includes usage of legacy code with some modifications in order to run it on the targeted platform. Shorter development time and budget constraints are also influencing the process of system design. Thus, reuse of existing legacy source codes as well as inclusion of available open source contributions is widely used in industrial practice. Since each embedded system is having its specific limitations, reuse of embedded software without adaptation to the new platform is not always possible. This paper describes a case study of software reengineering of Dolby Virtual Speaker from the reference platform to the required DSP based system on a chip, including system verification and system validation in real-time conditions. The critical reengineering decisions are elaborated with given results and lessons learned during project implementation.
This paper proposes and evaluates an approach for managing devices over the network using TR-069 and TR-111 protocols. Method relies on a server push mechanism that enables instant initiation of interaction with a device. TR-069 foresees that the communication between a device and the configuration server is the sole responsibility of the device. Therefore the so called "connection request" mechanism that enables the server to initiate a session is necessary. The role of the mechanism is to enable the server to authenticate at the device side and in that way initiate a session with the client. In case of TR-069 the connection request mechanism is based on Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and the device acts as an HTTP server. In a case when device is behind Network Address Translation (NAT) gateway TR-111 connection request is used, in which case the device acts as an UDP server.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
