At last count, there were numerous publications demonstrating that oxybenzone and octinoxate exist in virtually every body of water on the planet, including the Arctic Ocean, and possibly your tap water depending on where you live. Numerous studies have been published demonstrating the toxic effects to aquatic bacteria/algae, a variety of invertebrates (include at least five papers showing coral damage/death), and several species of fish.
