Eine Antwort auf den großen und fortschreitenden Ressourcenverbrauch im Bauwesen können leichte und zugleich adaptive Lösungsansätze für Gebäudehüllen und ‐strukturen darstellen. Dazu müssen sie sowohl für schadensfreie Bauwerke mit passender Aufenthaltsqualität als auch für eine deutlich höhere Ressourceneffizienz sorgen. Beides gilt für den gesamten Lebensweg und trotz der für die Adaptivität benötigen zusätzlichen Betriebsenergie. Im Rahmen einer vorangegangenen Untersuchung adaptiver Leichtbaukonstruktionen [1] für Fassaden wurde die bauphysikalische Funktionalität und Umweltwirkung einiger Beispiele auf Bauteilebene behandelt. Im hier vorliegenden Beitrag wird nun der Betrachtungshorizont auf die Raumebene erweitert, um z. B. neben Kennwerten für Wärme‐ und Feuchteschutz der Hülle auch die Behaglichkeit im Raum als Bewertungsmaßstab heranzuziehen. Natürlich erhöhen sich damit der Aufwand und die Komplexität der Bilanz, dafür lässt sich aber fundierter das Anwendungspotenzial adaptiver Alternativen einschätzen und über deren Weiterverfolgung entscheiden. Dazu werden drei herkömmliche, teils massive und teils leichte Konstruktionen, sowie vergleichbare adaptive Fassaden auf Raumebene untersucht und bewertet. Als wesentliche Bewertungskriterien gelten dabei quantitative Aussagen zur Erfüllung bauphysikalischer Anforderungen und zu ökologischen Umweltwirkungen. Im Ergebnis der methodenübergreifenden Forschung zeigt sich, dass adaptive Konstruktionen fallspezifisch, z. B. standortbezogen, beachtliches Potenzial zur Ressourcenreduktion ohne Funktionseinschränkungen mit sich bringen.
Aufgrund des hohen und zunehmenden Ressourcenverbrauchs von Gebäuden ist der Bausektor einer der Hauptverursacher von Umweltbelastungen. Als Folge dessen wächst die Aufmerksamkeit für ressourcenschonende und nachhaltige Werkstoffe, Konstruktionen und Lösungen. Holzbauweisen bieten hierbei zahlreiche ökologische und konstruktive Anknüpfungspunkte. Ihre spezifischen stofflichen, konstruktiven und fertigungstechnischen Merkmale sind bereits Gegenstand bauphysikalischer Untersuchungen, die sich aktuell mehr und mehr auf massive Holzbauteile sowie neue Impulse der Verarbeitungs‐ und Vorfertigungstechnik ausweiten. Im Rahmen einer ganzheitlichen Betrachtung werden in diesem Beitrag sowohl die wärme‐, feuchte‐ und schalltechnischen als auch die ökologischen Eigenschaften von Flächenbauteilen in Holzrahmen‐ und Holzmassivbauweise gegenübergestellt. Im Vergleich mit Stahlbetonkonstruktionen wird gezeigt, dass die vorhandenen Daten und Methoden Planungsentscheidungen nach bauphysikalischen und ökologischen Kriterien unterstützen können. Zugleich werden Potenziale der Bauweisen erkennbar, die sich durch Weiterentwicklung einlösen lassen.
Die Ressourceninanspruchnahme durch die gebaute Umwelt und die damit einhergehenden und immer deutlicher spürbaren Umweltauswirkungen machen es erforderlich, stets neue Wege zu finden, um den Ressourcenverbrauch zu reduzieren. Dem gegenüber stehen stetig wachsende Ansprüche an den Komfort in Gebäuden, sowie die Veränderung der Arbeitswelt hinsichtlich der temporären Nutzung von Räumen. Um alle genannten Aspekte zu vereinen, bietet die transiente und inhomogene Auslegung von thermischen Bedingungen in Räumen großes Potenzial. Seit über 60 Jahren werden die Zusammenhänge zwischen der thermischen Umgebung und der sich daraus ergebenden thermischen Empfindung und Behag-lichkeit der Nutzer erforscht [4]. Insbesondere in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten ist dabei ein prinzipielles Umdenken zu beobachten. Das seit langer Zeit etablierte Modell von Fanger [5] zur Ermittlung des thermischen Empfindens in homogenen (räumlich gleiche Verteilung der Temperatur) sowie stationären Umgebungen und der sich daraus ergebende Prozentsatz an Unzufriedenen, wird dabei immer häufiger hinterfragt. Weiter gewinnen die Möglichkeiten zur Berücksichtigung von adaptiven, transienten und inhomogenen Faktoren zunehmend an Bedeutung [6-9]. Unter transienten Bedingungen haben viele Forscher gezeigt, dass kalte bzw. warme Reize an Hand, Stirn und Nacken unter Hyperthermie oder Hypothermie als sehr Die Arbeitswelt hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten stark verändert. Heutzutage werden viele Büros, Besprechungsräume, aber auch andere Räume wie Vorlesungssäle, Unterrichtsräume sowie Hotelzimmer nur noch temporär genutzt. Die thermische Konditionierung orientiert sich jedoch immer noch an stationären Temperatursolllinien. Dies bedeutet, dass eine entsprechende Solltemperatur bereits vor Eintreffen des Nutzers im Raum erreicht sein und über den gesamten Arbeitstag vorgehalten werden muss, unabhängig davon, ob sich tatsächlich ein Nutzer im Raum aufhält. Adaptive Fassaden mit integrierten Heiz-bzw. Kühlelementen sind dazu in der Lage, sich verändernden Bedingungen, z. B. aufgrund von temporärer Nutzung eines Arbeitsplatzes, lokal und ohne Zeitverzögerung anzupassen, und so eine optimale Aufenthaltsqualität sicherzustellen. So ist während der Heizperiode ein deutlich niedrigeres Temperaturniveau ausreichend und sobald der Nutzer im Raum eintrifft, können durch Einschalten der lokalen Heizung unverzüglich behagliche Bedingungen hergestellt werden. Dies birgt insbesondere im Ultraleichtbau ein großes Energieeinsparpotenzial in sich. In vorangegangenen Untersuchungen wurde die thermischen Behaglichkeit unter transienten Bedingungen [1] beleuchtet sowie die bauphysikalische Funktionalität und Umweltwirkung einiger Beispiele auf Bauteil-sowie auf Raumebene von adaptiven Leichtbaukonstruktionen [2, 3] behandelt. Aufbauend auf diesen Erkenntnissen wurden Szenarien für den Betrieb von adaptiven Fassadenelementen mit lokalen Heizsystemen entwickelt. In den letzten Jahrzehnten haben sich die Möglichkeiten zur gezielten Steuerung klimatischer Parameter in Innenräumen durch leistungsstarke Anlagentechnik deutlich erweitert. Auch wenn die meisten Räume natürlich gelüftet werden, sind der Regelung der Innenraumbedingungen technisch gesehen kaum noch Grenzen gesetzt. Gleichzeitig hat sich beispielsweise die Arbeitswelt stark geändert, Büros und andere Räume werden oft nur temporär genutzt und dabei auch noch geteilt. Die thermische Konditionierung der Innenräume hingegen orientiert sich aber immer noch an stationären Temperatursolllinien für die gesamte Betriebszeit. Für Konzepte zur dynamischen Steuerung und Regelung des Raumklimas fehlen gezielte wissenschaftliche Anhaltspunkte zur Bewertung der thermischen Behaglichkeit. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit erfolgte eine Literaturstudie zu durchgeführten Probandenstudien bei Temperaturübergängen. Die Probandenstudien wurden deskriptiv beschrieben und miteinander verglichen, um aus der Gesamtheit dieser Studien Erkenntnisse hinsichtlich der thermischen Behaglichkeit unter diesen dynamischen Bedingungen zu gewinnen.
