Ethics is a system of moral principles and methods applicable to all activities. The two terms in our research, ethics and open sources, seem to contradict each other because the activity of using information obtained through open sources respects the norms of ethics as long as the information is real and legally obtained. The evolution of information and technology led to changes in the private and public fields, both at the organizational and decision-making level. Through this study, we want to show that violating the rules of ethics in the field of open source can be done easily, although it is an area where many countries are deficient in taking measures to stop irregularities. By applying optimal management of information obtained from open sources, areas such as economic, educational, or social can be improved in a relatively short time and can generate increases in the areas in which they are applied. The search for information in open sources, as a resource and engine for development, has become a visible priority of classical methods. The benefits of technology can lead, intentionally or unintentionally, to breaches of ethical standards in obtaining and using information from open sources. The misuse of open-source information can lead to intentional or involuntary misinformation, as well as violations of fundamental rights.
At the heart of every individual is a code of ethics, a code that must be used when making any decision. People develop a sense of ethics based on culture, faith, and ethnicity, which makes each unique. Using online information, and most social media, most cases of violation of ethical norms can be observed. Social media encompasses and covers a large scale of websites, but the link between all of these sites is the ability of users to interact. Although, not long ago it seemed just a trend that skeptics have claimed and insisted will not be successful, is now attracting more users than ever before as it grows by billions of dollars, evolving to the point where if you don't exist in online as a person, but especially as an organization, you can't succeed. All the actions a social user makes make him/her vulnerable, and that is why during time ethical standards were set clear to protect users’ rights and privacy. The changes in the Internet over the last two decades have led to major changes in people's lives. Thus, online activity has become a Wild West, which has led to Cyber Ethics - a philosophical study of ethics on the Internet. In-depth information from online users can lead to the avoidance of fake news as well as the avoidance of certain risks. Through this paper, we highlight that many principles of ethics are violated, mostly knowingly. Many social media players violate these principles to obtain various financial benefits, manipulate, and misinform. With each passing day, we notice more and more illegal information about economic, political, and social events. A correct information process and appropriate and up-to-date legislation can lead to respect for both human rights and ethical values.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected the global population through social and economic instability, xenophobia and racism against people of Chinese descent, and the spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories online. The imposition of isolation measures at home has favored the use of the online environment, testing the strength of fixed and mobile data providers to remain in this market. The imposition of home isolation measures, characteristic of the COVID-19 pandemic period, has favored the intensive use of the online environment, testing the strength of fixed and mobile data providers to remain in this market. The development of online courses as well as the development of online professional activity was among the main causes of the increase in data, voice, and interconnection traffic in Romania, approximately 25%. This is associated with the increase in the first six months of the year is that of online payments, from drugs to bills. The paper presented aimed to highlight the most important issues regarding the use of the Internetservices and consumer profile in two periods of time that characterized the pandemic period COVID-19 (alert and emergency). These were identified by reporting to benchmarks services provided by providers, the type of services used, the type of activities performed, the level of data and device security. The results obtained by analyzing the data obtained through sociological research that had as a tool the questionnaire emphasizes the change of the consumer profile in the analyzed period and the intensification of the use of the Internet and all the effects generated by it.
Since March 2020, following the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic, civilization has had to adapt to a new lifestyle. Restrictions imposed by the authorities have led to a digital approach, including in the field of education. With the advent of the Internet, traditional libraries have begun to lose ground to the online environment, so the new situation has hastened the process of digitizing them, for the most part. This meant, on the one hand, the abolition of many jobs, and on the other hand, access to a large amount of information, from several resources, with a single click and in a short time. On this occasion, social networks played an important role, with public library services in many countries being active on social networks. Using this method, the institutions were involved in making important information available in the online environment. Through this article, we wanted to show the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on libraries, as well as the reaction of the population to a new system of obtaining information and on the measures taken in the full pandemic process.By applying a closed-ended questionnaire, we were able to highlight the impact of the pandemic on the functioning of virtual libraries, the benefits of online study, and a forecast of their future use.The note of originality of this study is given by the news brought by the pandemic in the online environment and the dynamics of internet use in the cultural field.Digitizing the libraries offers many advantages to information seekers, from accessing data from anywhere and anytime to diversifying the information found. We believe that access to knowledge through virtual libraries can lead to the consolidation of inclusive knowledge societies only when everyone will be able to benefit equally from the content.
Ethics represents an important role in any society, applicable to all activities. Online information, during its evolution, applied many changes in all the domains, changes that may affect the principles of ethics. The continued freedom to use the online environment, the failure to establish clear rules both nationally and internationally can lead to many problems, most of which are ethical. Although ethics is an important value of society, in reality, it serves as an established virtue. This paper reveals the fact that the limits of ethics can be easily violated, showing which possible dangers can be met and, with attention, avoided. Using the Internet has become a priority in any domain: economic, cultural, academic, educational, and social. The most obvious change could be observed at the social level. Thus, more and more people prefer to socialize online, through social networks. Within these networks, most cases of violation of ethical norms can be observed. That is why certain ethical standards should be set clear enough to protect the privacy of users. The restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic have led more and more people to use the online environment (online work, online education). With the increase in the rate of use of the online environment, online illegalities have also increased, legalities that violate the principles of ethics. We must not neglect that any action in the online environment exposes the user to certain risks. We consider online users must get informed about possible risks and problems that may arise from browsing online. Thus, good information of the population, as well as continuously updated legislation, can help to respect the norms of ethics in the online environment
