Este trabajo se propone analizar la novela Batman en Chile de Enrique Lihn priorizando la resemantización que realiza el autor chileno del mito heroico al hacer uso de estrategias textuales como la ironía, el humor conceptual, referencias intertextuales a la cultura pop, explotación del mal gusto y el kitsch a fin de crear un híbrido que tensione el panorama narrativo nacional como la retórica de su contexto de producción y la guerra fría en Latinoamérica.
y a los autores jóvenes me gustaría gritarles: basta de farsas, ustedes entrarán también en el negocio porque la literatura es el ofi cio más blando. Enrique LihnOliver Welden es uno de los secretos mejor guardados de la poesía chilena de los sesenta. Su fi gura se alza no sólo como la de un creador notable, sino también como la del gestor y editor detrás del proyecto Tebaida (Arica, 1968(Arica, -1973, revista del Norte Grande pionera en su género y proyección, hermana de Orfeo, Arúspice y desde luego Trilce. Welden posee una producción escasa pero signifi cativa, suma además de este libro publicado por Lom el 2010, el poemario Fábulas Ocultas (2006) y dos poemarios de los años sesenta, Anhista (1965) y Perro del amor (1970), su libro con mayor resonancia, que guarda además de la edición original de Mimbre, con diseño y diagramación a cargo de Guillermo Deisler, una segunda edición bilingüe titulada Love Hound (2006), traducida al inglés por Dave Oliphant.Oscura Palabra, como textura y cuerpo, representa para el autor -y desde luego para todo lector que dialoga extensionalmente con el texto-un retorno al país de la infancia, pero también al lugar en que se anida la pesadilla y muerte como algo antinatural y arbitrario. Welden nos dice, en una sentida dedicatoria a su hijo, la cual antecede a todo poema, o es quizá este el primer y más importante poema de todos en el libro:

Las novelas de Enrique Lihn enmascaran tras una cultura del espectáculo, actos represivos latentes. La narrativa del autor está cruzada por la presencia de situaciones intolerables generadas por un régimen fascista, el cual se vale de la retórica ideológica y el simulacro, para crear cultos a la personalidad y formas de vasallaje cultural. Batman en Chile se construye como un artefacto que evidencia el locus horridus nacional. El kitsch, como estrategia textual, permite al autor apropiarse del lenguaje y los formatos que deja el detritus de los mass media, a la vez busca evadir un ambiente de censura y control de los discursos. El mundo de la novela es un simulacro de ideologías que se ajustan al modelo americano de vida. Una representación de la realidad chilena del periodo de la guerra fría que expone el espectáculo y los medios de masas como aparatos ideológicos al servicio de las deformaciones del poder y su retórica.
