A historiografia relacionada aos registros rupestres apresenta duas grandes tradições para as pinturas: Tradição Nordeste e Agreste. Dentro dessas duas tradições estão os grafismos puros, que lembram formas geométricas, as quais não se conseguem identificar. Essas formas geométricas foram percebidas nos sítios arqueológicos pré-históricos (Pedra Rica, Cachoeira Grande e Várzea do Palha) da cidade de Canapi-AL. Nesse sentido, o objetivo do artigo é caracterizar esses sítios de pinturas rupestres, sinalizar o seu estado de conservação, correlacioná-los com os sítios arqueológicos de Inhapi (Roçado, Canoa, Curral Novo e Pedra da Letra do Rei) e de Delmiro Gouveia (Delmiro Gouveia 17, Delmiro Gouveia 10 e Lajedo do Forró) e apresentar o seu perfil gráfico.
