53 Czech AssociaƟon of Corrosion Engineers ÚVODKoroze výztuže z uhlíkové oceli v betonu kontaminovaného chloridy je i v současnosti velice zásadním problémem korozního inženýrství. Protože rychlost šíření chloridové fronty zvlhčenou pórovitou strukturou betonu je obvykle vyšší než průběh karbonatace, doplácí na tento korozní problém především vyztužené betonové konstrukce v blízkosti dálnic a silnic (vliv použití rozmrazovacích solí) nebo konstrukce poblíž mořských nebo brakických vod [1][2][3].Lokalizované korozní poškození způsobené nadkritickým množstvím chloridových anionů v blízkosti nechráněné výztuže z uhlíkové oceli vyvolává růst objemných korozních produktů železa. Tyto objemové změny poškozují okolní beton lokálními trhlinami a způsobují jeho odpadávání. Tato skutečnost rozsáhlé korozní poškození ještě urychluje [4][5][6].Protože tento problém vyžaduje vždy včasná a nákladná sanační opatření, jsou dodnes diskutovány různé možnosti ochrany výztuže, které by zajistily požadovanou životnost staveb (někdy i na 100 let) bez nutnosti sanačních opatření. Nejčastěji se prodlužu-je doba do aktivace uhlíkové oceli v kritických místech staveb zvyšováním krycí vrstvy betonu. Ovšem záměrné navyšování krycí vrstvy betonu má svoje technologické i ekonomické limity a nemůže zajistit vysokou životnost konstrukce [1,3].Obvyklé vysoké úspešnosti dosahuje katodická ochrana, ovšem tuto techniku nelze často využít všude a patří mezi nákladnější ochranná opatření [1,4]. Využití adsorbčních inhibitorů koroze uhlíkové oceli je velice diskutabilním řešením. Je totiž velice obtížné udržovat dostatečnou koncentraci inhibitorů na povrchu ocelové výztuže v průběhu návrhové doby životnosti konstrukce [5]. Úspěšné využití plnoprůřezových korozivzdorných ocelí s podmínkou jejich nezokujeného povrchu je také bohužel pro stavební průmysl z ekonomického důvodu problematické [7]. Experimentální testování odolnosti uhlíkových ocelí plátovaných vhodným typem korozivzdorné oceli s nezokujeným povrchem prokázalo vysokou odolnost v modelových pórových roztocích siZhodnocení vlivu koroze žárovì zinkované oceli na soudržnost hladkých prutù s betonem tøídy "NSC"The assessment of the impact of corrosion of galvanised steel on bond strength of plain bars with "NSC" concrete

Properties of water transport and depth of chloride penetration into the Ultra High Performance Concrete (hereafter as UHPC) with mild steel fibres are presented in this paper. The main aim of this experimental part of work is to obtain sufficiently accurate input data for the evaluation of long-term durability of architectural concrete which are connected with water transport and its accompanying effects such as biological degradation or chloride transport. The article also presents the one dimensional chloride diffusion into UHPC which can be potentially dangerous particularly for durability of reinforced concrete structures. For the simulation of aggressive environments the concrete samples were exposed to chloride solution for one year. Measured data were examined in relation to the depth of penetration of chloride ions into the UHPC structure. Comparative measurements with normal strength concrete (hereafter as NSC) are done as well. An about five-time lower value of moisture absorption of UHPC compared to the NSC was observed and further the curve of chloride penetration into the structure is significantly steeper for UHPC samples.

In this paper, the effect of different kind of glass fiber on hydric properties of ultra-high performance concrete and normal strength concrete is determined. It was the use several types of micro fine high-dispersible alkali resistant fibers that prevent the formation of shrinkage cracks caused by tensions. Comparative measurements with both concrete without glass fibers are done as well. The main aim of this experimental work is to obtain sufficiently accurate input data for the estimate of durability surface layers of concrete which are connected with water transport and its accompanying effects such as biological degradation, water soluble salt transport or degradation by rainwater absorbing oxides of sulfur and carbon from air.

The article deals with the corrosive effects of acids on the selected surface layers of concrete with/ without an epoxy coating. Concrete sample was placed in extreme environments, which represented the 40% sulphuric acid solution. In addition to measuring surface degradation of concrete, this work focused on the depth of acid penetration into the sample. It can be concluded that the long-term effects of aggressive environments severely degrades the concrete surface on the samples causing corrosion of Type II.

This paper deals with the development and research of low pH concrete mixtures intended for the deep geological repository for radioactive waste. Mixtures, in particular those made from materials originating in the Middle Europe, specifically Czech Republic, were designed due to the diversity of the raw materials’ properties. In this first part, a large number of cement mortars were designed, on which the effect of active ingredients (microsilica, slag) on the pH value over time were tested. From the results of the cement mortars’ pH measured after 90 days, a concrete formula was designed. A mixture with a lower proportion of cement and a higher proportion of microsilica seems to be the best. The slag serves only as a supplement in the place value of several weight percent of the total binder volume. Also, the control measurements of basic material characteristics, such as volumetric mass density and compressive strength were performed on these mixtures.
