-(Anomalous pollen grains in the clone CP76 of Anacardium occidentale L. (Anacardiaceae)). Anomalies of male gametophyte development was observed during anther development investigation in the clone CP76 of Anacardium occidentale. Androspores that stop development before the first pollen mitosis, and grains that show male gametophyte anomalies in early stage of development, was observed. The anomalous first mitosis generate two identical cells, or quite, or grains where cell plate was partially formed. Nuclear fusion occurs in those cells where partial cell walls were formed. The interruption of development before first pollen mitosis occurs in high frequency, on the other hand, the anomalies related with the first pollen mitosis are very rare.RESUMO -(Grãos de pólen anômalos no clone CP76 de Anacardium occidentale L. (Anacardiaceae)).
-(Floral and staminal development in the clone CP76 of Anacardium occidentale L. -dwarf cashew nut (Anacardiaceae)). The early floral development as well as anther ontogeny in the Anacardium occidentale L. was studied. The flowers present five sepals and five petals with helical and unidirectional development, respectively, and androceum with a stamen with striking heterochronic and heteromorphic development in relation to the remaining nine stamens. At the terminal position an unilocular carpel arises. The histogenic processes is identical in both stamens. At the end of ontogeny both anther types possess four sporangia, with epidermis, endothecium, two middle layers and secretory tapetum, as parietal layers and a sporogenic tissue. The inner portion of the tapetum does not arise from the connective.RESUMO -(Desenvolvimento floral e estaminal no clone CP76 de Anacardium occidentale L -cajueiro-anão precoce (Anacardiaceae)). Key words -Anacardium occidentale, anther development, single origin of tapetum, heteromorphy, heterochrony o melhoramento vegetal e a necessidade crescente da produção vegetal em função do incrível aumento da população humana, principalmente neste último século.
The rooting of semihardwood cuttings is largely influenced by the substrate composition, container, matrix genotype and physiological stage. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of different substratum composition on growth of berry plant genotypes propagated by stem cutting in dibble tubes condition under na intermittent nebulization system in green house, during 60 days. A block factorial design (4x2) comprising four organic sources e two berry genotypes was established. The organic sources of humus (vermicompost), carbonized rice hulls, ripe coir dust and leave dust from carnaúba (Copernicia cerifera) were mixed with na arenic Hapludult (1:1 proportions, v/v) to rooting and growth of P-91 and P-26 berry genotypes in tubules condition. Rooting percentage, dry mass of roots (g), number of leaves (NF) and dry mass of aerial part (g) were measured. The soil and humus mixture was suitable for rooting of semihardwood cuttings and was reflected on the number of leaves and aerial dry mass accumulation. The berry genotype P-26 presented potential for cutting process.
