Distributional recor'ds of species of Microtinae were recorded from European and Asian Turkey. Discussions of species included general distribution, habitat, variation and zoogeography. Darker coloration in Pitymys subterraneus and Clethrionomus glareolus in the eastern Black Sea region. was thought to be correlated with the mild and humid climatic conditions of that area. These species and Arvicola terrestris were considered to have immigrated to Anatolia via the Balkan Peninsula.
