Synopsis
Percent lignin was negatively correlated with temperature for Latar orchardgrass but not for Manchar smooth bromegrass. Percent lignin showed no correlation with daylength for either grass. Protein percent showed a significant negative correlation with daylength. Total leaf production was highest for both grasses at 85° F. or under the 14‐hour daylength.
