O lodo de esgoto e a moinha de carvão constituem dois importantes resíduos gerados pela atividade humana e que apresentam potencial para a composição de substratos utilizados na produção de mudas de diversas plantas. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influência do lodo de esgoto e da moinha de carvão na formação de mudas de Cybistax antisyphilitica (Mart.) Mart. (Lamiales: Bignoniaceae). O experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação, utilizando o delineamento estatístico em blocos casualisados, com sete tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os tratamentos consistiram em uma mistura de terra argilosa de subsolo (TE), lodo de esgoto (LE) e moinha de carvão (MC). As parcelas foram formadas por 12 tubetes, com uma muda de ipê-verde por unidade. Aos 150 dias após a semeadura foram avaliadas características de crescimento e acúmulo de biomassa seca nas raízes e parte aérea das mudas. A maior altura de muda, 3,81 cm, foi obtida no tratamento 4 (T4), com uma proporção de 50% (TE), 25% (LO) e 25% (MC). Os maiores valores para o diâmetro de caule e área foliar foram alcançados no T4 e T2 (30% TE, 30% LO e 40% MC), com médias de 3,61 mm e 147,93 cm². O comprimento e volume de raiz foram mais prejudicados com maiores proporções de LO e MC. Para as variáveis massa seca de folha, de caule, da parte aérea e da raiz, os maiores valores, 1,2772, 0,0702, 1,3474 e 1,4006 g, respectivamente, foram obtidos no T4. Concluiu-se que a utilização de lodo de esgoto e moinha de carvão influenciaram no crescimento das mudas de ipê verde. Os maiores valores de crescimento e biomassa para mudas de ipê verde foram verificados com as proporções de 25% lodo de esgoto + 25% moinha de carvão e com 30% lodo de esgoto + 40% moinha de carvão. O lodo de esgoto e a moinha de carvão podem se tornar alternativas como componentes de substrato na produção de mudas de ipê-verde.
