Die in den einschlägigen nationalen und internationalen Regelwerken angebotenen Nachweiskonzepte für die Beulsicherheit axialbelasteter Metallkreiszylinder mit seitlicher Mantelöffnung sind nach Wissen der Verfasser nicht streng statistisch abgesichert. In diesem Beitrag werden die im Entwurf zur DASt‐Ri 017 für diesen Beulfall angegebene Nachweisformel und ein alternatives Berechnungsmodell anhand von recherchierten Versuchsergebnissen mit statistischen Hilfsmitteln kalibriert. Ein Vergleich der Ergebnisse zeigt, daß das alternative Berechnungsmodell durch Berücksichtigung der Öffnungslänge für den hier untersuchten Parameterbereich teilweise zutreffendere Schätzwerte für den Beulwiderstand liefert.
Mit Hilfe des FE‐Programmsystems ANSYS (5.3) werden unter Beachtung der im Entwurf zur DASt‐Ri 017 enthaltenen Richtlinien für numerisch gestützte Beulsicherheitsnachweise Vergleichsberechnungen zu Beulversuchen an zwei axialgedrückten stählernen Torussegmenten mit positiver bzw. negativer Krümmung durchgeführt.Aufgrund des Vergleiches von Berechnungs‐ und Versuchsergebnissen sowie der hier bei Anwendung der E‐DASt‐Ri 017 auftretenden Besonderheiten werden kritische Anmerkungen zu diesem Regelwerk formuliert.
Eine in der Baupraxis häufig ausgeführte Versteifungsform im Bereich der Mantelöffnung von Stahlschornsteinen enthält vorgebundene Längs‐ und Teilringsteifen. In diesem Beitrag wird das Tragverhalten der vorgebundenen Längssteifen, insbesondere deren Auswirkungen auf den Beulwiderstand des Tragrohres am Längssteifenende, untersucht. Mit Hilfe numerischer Vergleichsberechnungen (FEM) zu bisher unveröffentlichten Biegebeulversuchen an Stahlrohren mit verstärkten Ausschnitten können die hierzu relevanten Regelungen der E‐DASt‐Ri. 017 bewertet werden. Weiterhin wird eine einfache Vorgehensweise zur Bestimmung des Beulwiderstandes am Längssteifenende per Handrechnung vorgestellt.
