DL» construct, defined by the components «difficulties in communicating», «lack of student activity», «social isolation», «lack of competition between students" etc., had a negative relationship with «Advantages of DL» and «Attitude towards DL». That is, the more social features of distance learning caused concern among students, the higher was their negative attitude towards the positive aspects of distance learning and the full transition to distance learning. The «Importance of material factors» construct was negatively associated with the «Social factors of anxiety in DL» construct, therefore, the higher the importance of classroom activities and printed textbooks, the more students are concerned about the social features of distance learning. «Learning Styles» construct was positively associated with «Importance of Material Factors» and «Social Anxiety Factors of DL» constructs. An assessment of the total effects of the model showed that the style features of students' learning influence the direction of their attitudes towards the negative and positive aspects of distance learning.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
