Measurements have been made of the asymmetric proton yields about the~Li recoil direction using the sequential reaction~Li( He, op) He for both the ground and first excited states of SLi at a beam energy of 1.54 MeV. Measurements were made out of the reaction plane, and the results are in qualitative agreement with the predictions of a model proposed by Reimann, Martin, and Vogt. Distorted-wave Born-approximation stripping theory may also be capable of explaining the asymmetric results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
