233ChemInform Abstract The silylphosphane (III), prepared by reaction of the silane (I) with the lithium phosphide (II), reacts with tert-butyllithium (IV) in the presence of THF or TMEDA to give the lithium complexes (VI). These release LiF at temperatures above 0 rc C, forming the diphosphadisilacyclobutane (VII). Reaction of tert-butyltrifluorosilane (VIII) with (VI) yields the disilylphosphane (IX).
