Los estudios de imágenes usualmente son utilizados para buscar complicaciones de la enfermedad. La clave del manejo es la fluidoterapia temprana, manejo del dolor y la nutrición de los pacientes. Estos pasos garantizan la resolución de la mayoría de los cuadros sin llegar a generar complicaciones locales y sistémicas.
