The synthetic method was used to determine the solubility of acetyl-p-toluidine in methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, isobutyl alcohol, tertbutyl alcohol, chloroform, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, diethyl ether, and water from about 35°to 148.5°C. The heat of fusion of acetyl-p-toluidine as calculated from solubility measurements was found to be 6400 cal. per mole.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
