Abstract-Twenty-six monoalkoxyfluorophosphoranes bearing an asymmetric substituent of types R1PF,(OR2*)(1), R1*PFs(ORz) (2), R1R3PFz(OR2*)(3) and R2PFz(OR2*)(4), have been prepared. The non-equivalence of the axial fluorine atoms is observed in the l9F NMR spectra for the compounds of types 1 6ra -6 p , -0.5 to 3.8 ppm, J(F,F,) -10 Hz, 2 fiFa -apta -1.1 to 1.
Die Silyläther (I), die aus den entsprechenden Alkoholen dargestellt werden (Ausbeute 69‐83%), reagieren mit der Titelverbindung zu den Alkoxyfluorphosphoranen (II).
The apical fluorine atoms are shown to be convenient, sensitive n.m.r. probes for investigating the stereochemistry of alkoxyfluorophosphoranes of types (I)-(IV) having 1, 2, or 3 identical or different fastrotating asymmetric alkyl or alkoxy groups.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
