NO reagiert mit dem intermediären Nitrosyl‐Komplex (I), gebildet aus Co(II)‐chlorid, zwei Molen Äthylendiamin und 1 Mol NO in Methanol, zu dem cis‐Nitro‐Komplex (II) neben N2O. In ähnlicher Weise bildet der Nitrosyldimethylglyoximato‐Komplex (III) in Gegenwart von Pyridin den Nitropyridin‐Komplex (IV).
