The timely application of the physical therapy and rehabilitation in these patients is of great importance, because it reduces complications and allows faster recovery and release from the hospital.
Osteonecrosis of the fem o ral head (aseptical, avascular or ischemic) is a con di tion of dif fi cult deteriorisation of bone struc ture, which can be tem po rary or tran sit and with ir re vers ible charac ter. Asep tic ne cro sis of the fem o ral head during preg nancy is un com mon find ing and pres ents a di ag nos tic chal lenge. It re quires a multidisciplinary ap proach in or der to de ter mine whether the osteonecrosis is a com pli ca tion of pre vi ous patho log ical con di tion or is an en tity re lated to preg nancy and postpartal pe riod. We pres ent a case of a 32 year old fe male in 38 th week of preg nancy who was ad mit ted with di ag no sis of asep tic ne cro sis of the fem o ral head.
