This manuscript report on a new lithium electrolyte, allowing the manufacturing of electrochemical systems, such as electrochromic devices, in ambient atmosphere. It is based on lithiumbis-trifluoromethane sulfonimide dissolved in the following hydrophobic salt, which was first prepared by M. Grätzelet al.: 1-ethyl. 3-methyllimidazoliumbis-trifluoromethane sulfonimide. We have also successfully tested the compatibility of this electrolyte with WO3and TiO2-CeO2films acting respectively as efficient electrochromic electrode and counter electrode for smart-window working with Li+ions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
