Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de analizar el comportamiento no lineal de edificios con piso suave en planta baja, ubicados en la zona del estado de Guerrero. Este esfuerzo se orienta a analizar edificios que se asemejen a los reales con propiedades que generen respuestas críticas ante las características de los sismos y el tipo de suelo de la zona. Por tal razón, se eligieron edificios de 5 niveles con base rígida, sin considerar la interacción suelo-estructura.
Un edificio de gran altura, está asociado a la construcción de un considerable número de niveles y relacionándolo a grandes desplazamientos laterales debido a cargas dinámicas como sismo y viento. En estos edificios el sistema Outrigger permite atenuar estos desplazamientos, sin embargo, encontrar la mejor localización ha sido una variante que se ha dejado en la experimentación y experiencia del calculista. En este trabajo se propone encontrar la mejor localización, analizando los cambios de los centros de torsión entre niveles en dos edificios tridimensionales de concreto reforzado. Se analizaron dos edificios 20 y 30 niveles, con una relación de esbeltez de 0.375 y 0.225, 0.25 y 0.15, respectivamente; se colocaron en dos, tres y cuatro sistemas Outrigger variando su localización a lo largo de la altura. El mejor comportamiento estructural se localizó en los edificios con mayor esbeltez (0.225 y 0.15), es decir, edificios con mayor altura y menor base, y con el menor número de sistemas Outrigger.
La mampostería en México se ha constituido en un sistema de construcción tradicional, la combinación de este sistema constructivo en algunos edificios de concreto armado puede contribuir al incremento de resistencia y rigidez. Sin embargo, cuando las distribuciones de los muros de mampostería se colocadas de forma irregular, pueden significar un riesgo para el sistema estructural, la ausencia de muros en planta baja provoca una irregularidad denominada piso suave. Este trabajo presenta el análisis de una familia de edificios de cinco niveles bajo la influencia de sismos de alto riesgo, generados en la Costa del Pacifico mexicano. Para tal efecto, se realizó un diseño sísmico convencional de la estructura, a base de marcos ortogonales de concreto armado, sin considerar la presencia de muros de mampostería. El modelo resultante fue sometido al análisis probabilístico para obtener el escenario correspondiente a la variación estadística relativo a valor de cargas, características geométricas y propiedades mecánicas de los elementos estructurales. Después se consideran modelos con y sin muros, analizándolos por medio de métodos no lineales para obtener su capacidad inicial y demanda sísmica, donde las distorsiones máximas de azotea y de entrepiso fueron parámetros a considerar. La configuración de los edificios con mampostería consideró a los muros de relleno ligados a los marcos que se ubican por encima de la planta baja. Lo anterior permitió obtener información cuantitativa que hizo posible concluir que la presencia de muros de mampostería cambia el comportamiento global del sistema y repercute en el índice de daño.
En este trabajo se presenta el análisis del riesgo de la estructura de un puente peatonal ubicado en la colonia Matilde Municipio de Pachuca de Soto, Estado de Hidalgo, México, fabricado en dos etapas constructivas, la primera formada por columnas y trabes de concreto armado y la segunda formada por una estructura metálica, ambas estructuras son sometidas a fuerzas permanentes, variables y accidentales, las cuales producen que la estructura propia del puente interactúe en los nodos de unión de las dos etapas y muestre desplazamientos tridireccionales, de tal forma, que en este documento se determina la magnitud de las aceleraciones de los nodos que interactúan entre las dos estructuras mostrando valores que indican reacciones cíclicas, por consiguiente, para determinar el riesgo se identifican las condiciones de movimiento del puente mediante la utilización de sensores que detectan las aceleraciones, encontrando distorsiones cuyos resultados descartan la intervención de rehabilitación general o local.
