La presente investigación tiene por objetivo analizar los retos y propuestas que enfrentaron los actores educativos de la “Unidad Educativa Quitumbe” en Joyagshí – Ecuador a partir de la pandemia. Se desarrolló a través de una metodología no experimental, cuantitativa de cohorte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por docentes y estudiante. Los resultados permiten evidenciar que no existe una correlación directa entre lo rural y las limitaciones de accesibilidad y conectividad a internet, constituyéndose en un nuevo desafío mejorar la capacitación docente en cuanto al uso de las Tecnologías de la Información, en virtud de que se evidencia un mejor desempeño en lo relativo a iniciativas pedagógicas e innovación en la media en que los mismos tiene mayor capacitación, de la misma manera en cuanto a los estudiantes refiere que el aprendizaje aumenta a medida que mejorar el nivel de uso y acceso a plataformas digitales.
