This paper presents a descriptive analysis of an actual group practice example that was arrested in its development. Employing the theory of collectivity, a framework for assessing significant variables was applied to the practice entity to determine the factors that were limiting its development. The framework's usefulness as an assessment tool for practitioners is discussed, and the process of moving from collectivity to group is described.
