Mediante entrevistas a doce escritoras contemporáneas, el presente artículo caracteriza las condiciones de trabajo y las relaciones de género en el campo literario actual en Chile. El análisis de las entrevistas permite profundizar en la documentada tendencia de precarización y pluriempleo del trabajo literario, agregando que este se realiza mayormente en el área de la docencia universitaria y en talleres literarios para el caso de las escritoras. Además, la gestión del tiempo surge como un elemento importante que determina las formas del trabajo en literatura. Respecto a las relaciones de género, las entrevistadas observan diferencias en las remuneraciones a favor de los hombres y una masculinización histórica del canon literario. A esto se suma una desigualdad en la entrega de premios y fondos literarios, otorgados mayormente a hombres.
El aumento de la matrícula universitaria desde finales del siglo XX, tanto a nivel internacional como latinoamericano, ha transformado el panorama de las instituciones de educación superior. En ese contexto, una de las problemáticas fundamentales abordadas por la investigación y gestión en educación superior es la forma en que en estos nuevos escenarios se aseguran trayectorias académicas exitosas. Así, la presente investigación indaga en los factores que se corresponden con una licenciatura, egreso y titulación oportuna, en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Chile. Se utiliza el Análisis de Correspondencias Múltiples para integrar las variables de egreso, licenciatura y titulación oportuna, en conjunto con variables independientes socioeconómicas y académicas. Los resultados muestran que las calificaciones académicas previas a la universidad, y el desempeño dentro de la carrera, son variables que motivan una licenciatura y egreso más oportunos. Para el caso de Psicología, se observa correspondencia entre el nivel socioeconómico bajo y licenciatura y egreso oportuno, contrario a la intuición de que un menor nivel socioeconómico implicaría un peor desempeño. Así, resultaría interesante revisar en profundidad el caso de Psicología, buscando reconocer estrategias que permitan asegurar de forma exitosa la progresión académica de los estudiantes.
El presente artículo explora las representaciones sobre el movimiento social contra la dictadura chilena en la obra Tengo Miedo Torero (2001) de Pedro Lemebel. Considerando las potencialidades que tiene el análisis de las obras de arte para el abordaje de fenómenos sociales y la progresiva inclusión de la dimensión emocional en el estudio de los movimientos sociales, el análisis muestra que la novela de Lemebel integra representaciones del movimiento social contra la dictadura cercanas a la Nueva Historia Social, que incluye la descripción de escenarios de marginalidad, cesantía, juventud, represión, entre otras representaciones. Por otro lado, las emociones integradas en la narrativa de Lemebel (indiferencia, miedo, valentía) permiten abordar en mayor profundidad la etapa dictatorial chilena, explorando en dichos constructos emocionales que tradicionalmente las corrientes historiográficas no atienden.
