In recent years there has been a significant increase in the demand for aesthetic procedures aimed at Orofacial Harmonization, attracting both men and women. An integral component of facial rejuvenation is the restoration of an aesthetic neck contour. To treat this, the localized fat accumulation is removed through the aesthetic procedure of liposuction surgery, leading to an improvement in the facial contour. Fat removal is done using cannulas. Small incisions are made in the skin, where the cannulas will be introduced and will aspirate the localized fats through negative pressure. Liposuction, as with any surgical procedure, can have complications. Fibrosis is one of the main ones, being a direct consequence of post-injury repair. A complementary therapeutic procedure integrated with surgical practices and bringing several benefits is ozone therapy, a technique that uses ozone gas as a therapeutic agent. Due to the fact that ozone has been correlated with numerous benefits for the treatment of conditions, the present work aims to correlate the clinical experience of its application in the submental region, to improve the condition of fibrosis intercurrence in patients who underwent lipoplasty surgery. There was a significant improvement in the patient’s fibrosis, however, further studies are still needed on the subject, in order to allow well-defined and safe parameters of use.
Beauty and youth have always been a people’s desire. Cosmetic procedures can help a lot, but nowadays there is a demand for more natural and less invasive interventions to alleviate the effects of aging. Absorbable traction thread, especially Silhouette Soft®, have obtained very satisfactory and long- lasting results for the patients. In addition to repositioning the tissues of the face and neck, Silhouette Soft® suture promotes a great formation of collagen thanks to the PLLA and PLGA present in its composition, and a greater durability caused by the system of cones and knots that enhance traction, anchoring and its stability. Orofacial harmonization is showing the trend of associating varied treatments, in all layers of the face and in three dimensions, to obtain natural and excellent results.
Percutaneous collagen induction or microneedling is a procedure that, through the opening of microchannels on the surface of the skin, generates healing induced by platelets that increase the production of growth factors and cytokines, triggered by a controlled inflammation that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. With the microneedling protocol and the use of drug delivery in mature skin, the results are optimized by the association of specific actives that will be more effectively absorbed by the microchannels. The objective of this work is to carry out a brief literature review and case report on the use of the percutaneous collagen induction method with the association of drug-delivery and home care in the neck region with the aim of superficial and deep tissue rejuvenation. The results found through clinical observation were a significant improvement in the appearance of aging, dryness, superficial flaccidity, fine rhytids, photoaging and devitalized appearance. Little or no results were observed in the improvement of deep flaccidity, horizontal wrinkles and central vertical bands of the neck after 4 sessions of the protocol.
The search for a skin similar to that obtained through filters of social networking applications is increasingly present in the complaints and desires of patients who arrive at the office. As the skin is the organ that most reflects the effects of the passage of time, in addition to genetic factors, hormonal status and metabolic reactions, such as oxidative stress, your health and appearance are directly related to the eating habits and the chosen lifestyle. The current challenge is the search for minimally invasive facial rejuvenation treatments with a lower risk of complications. A clinical case was reported in this article using only ozone applied subcutaneously to the submental region and neck. Clinical case: patient I.V, female, 60 years old, sought a private practice complaining of sagging skin in the papillae and neck region that bothered her. After careful examination and skin evaluation, it was proposed to the patient that we start the collagen induction protocol with ozone. Thus, we can conclude that the use of this aforementioned technique is an excellent alternative (safe and effective) for a more youthful and rejuvenated skin.
Periorbital cutaneous hyperchromia, popularly called “olheira”, corresponds to one of the main complaints of patients looking for aesthetic treatments. One of the most famous phrases written by Leonardo da Vinci describes the eyes as being the window to the soul, for this fact, orbital hyperpigmentation directly interferes with the patient’s self-esteem, and can impact their quality of life, by producing the appearance of tiredness and fatigue. aging. Periorbital cutaneous hyperchromia is characterized by darkening of the eye area, its etiology is complex and multifactorial, being caused by several exogenous and endogenous factors. There are numerous treatments described in the literature that improve this change, ozone therapy is one of them for combating swelling, circles and bags under the eyes. The objective of this work was to review the literature related to the use of ozone therapy for the treatment of periorbital skin hyperchromia and, through a clinical report, to demonstrate the result obtained through a protocol of weekly application of medicinal ozone in the periorbital region. The monitoring of the results of the applications was carried out through photographic records, showing a significant improvement in hyperchromia at the end of the eighth session.
