Las diferentes formas de violencia observadas en Chile en los últimos años tienen orígenes y agentes distintos, y remiten al periodo de la dictadura cívico-militar y a los gobiernos que le sucedieron. Pese a la generalización de los discursos que asocian violencia con enfermedad mental, no existe evidencia suficiente para sustentar este vínculo. La violencia estructural sí ha mostrado repercusiones en salud general y salud mental en particular, agravadas por la superposición temporal de la pandemia por COVID-19.
En 1984 se publicaron textos relevantes en Bolivia: El Indio Santos Marka T’ula del Taller de Historia Oral Andina y Oprimidos pero no vencidos de Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui. Ambos libros propusieron una representación de la historia indígena con algunas especificidades, en medio del despliegue de una elite aymara que bullía en la universidad y el cambio de eje sociopolítico hacia lo indígena. El objetivo del artículo es describir y analizar las características de la escritura de la historia a través de estas publicaciones, una colectiva y otra individual. Desde la historia de los lenguajes políticos de Pocock, la hipótesis sugerida es que este ejercicio de escritura introdujo innovaciones epistemológicas y metodológicas, cumpliendo una función política al instalar en el espacio público una narrativa histórica indígena que polemizaba con la historiografía oficial.
En Bolivia la educación fue una gran preocupación durante todo el siglo XX, al igual que en gran parte de América Latina. Pero en este país adquirió una especificidad que marcó las trayectorias de los movimientos sociopolíticos implicados, así como respuestas institucionales generadas por el Estado. Ello estuvo dado, en gran medida, por el peso demográfico y cultural de los pueblos indígenas que habitan el territorio y la vitalidad de sus prácticas sociales y políticas. El objetivo general de esta investigación es dar cuenta de las trayectorias de los discursos sobre las funciones de la educación para los pueblos indígenas a través de la lectura crítica de materiales producidos desde la enunciación auto adscrita como indígena -individual y colectiva- y la enunciación del Estado a través de las reformas educativas de 1955, 1994 y 2010. La exploración procurará develar las interrelaciones entre estos debates, las negociaciones y articulaciones generadas.
