Resumen
Alrededor del 13-20% de los pacientes con tumores del estroma gastrointestinal (GIST) se han descrito un tumor sincrónico o metacrónico, afectando la mayoría de veces al tracto gastrointestinal. Describimos el caso de un hombre de 81 años derivado a nuestra consulta con clínica de rectorragia y proctalgia, diagnosticado mediante colonoscopia y biopsia informado de adenocarcinoma sigmoide y GIST rectal. El tratamiento que llevamos a cabo combinó resección anterior baja junto a resección de la lesión rectal por vía endoanal. La importancia de este caso reside en la infrecuencia de los GIST de localización rectal (7-11%) cuya asociación sincrónica a adenocarcinoma colorrectal, los hace aún más inusuales.
