A presente pesquisa resulta de investigação bibliográfica e tem como foco a utilização da arte como uma técnica social, como apresentado por L. S. Vigotski em Psicologia da Arte (2001), podendo esta ser um objeto cultural mediador para a reflexão dos sentimentos, o desenvolvimento psíquico e a própria humanização por meio da arte, considerando a compreensão de homem da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural. Conclui-se que, compreendendo a arte como uma produção artística humana, que abrange as relações sociais, a cultura e a historicidade de uma sociedade, que objetiva as características humanas e apreende a relação dialética entre forma e conteúdo, a arte é um instrumento que possibilita a objetivação das funções psicológicas superiores, e serve como um mediador para desenvolver o psiquismo além de ter poderio para entrar em contato diretamente com as emoções e os sentimentos.
