A síndrome piramidal (SP) é uma lesão neurológica que acomete o trato piramidal no sistema nervoso central (SNC), apresenta como principal consequência a espasticidade, resultado da excitação exagerada do neurônio motor superior (NMS). Neste contexto, a fisioterapia se enquadra em uma alternativa de tratamento não farmacológicos que trata as alterações cinéticas funcionais. O presente estudo tem por finalidade abordar e descrever de forma sucinta a espasticidade advinda da SP, como também, as alternativas fisioterapêuticas elencadas na literatura e os seus benefícios através de uma revisão bibliográfica e descritiva. Utilizaram-se, livros do acervo da Biblioteca Júlio Bordignon da Faculdade de Educação e Meio Ambiente – FAEMA, e consulta de trabalhos publicados e indexados nas bases de dados de SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library online), Google Acadêmico, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) que abrange LILACS (Literatura latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database) e Pubmed. Os recursos fisioterapêuticos mais elencados no tratamento da espasticidade foram: cinesioterapia, termoterapia, crioterapia, eletroterapia e fisioterapia aquática, esses, possibilitam um melhor controle do tônus muscular, melhora da força, função muscular, amplitude de movimento (ADM) e sensação articular proprioceptiva.
Microcefalia é definida como uma alteração das estruturas ou da função do cérebro de um recém-nascido. Suas manifestações clínicas são epilepsia, paralisia cerebral, retardo no desenvolvimento cognitivo e motor, podendo também causar problemas na visão e audição. A fisioterapia visa diminuir sequelas e promover o desenvolvimento funcional, utilizando para isto a modalidade terapêutica conhecida como Conceito Neuroevolutivo Bobath. O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a atuação fisioterapêutica nas disfunções da microcefalia mediante a aplicação do conceito Bobath. O conceito mostrou-se eficiente no tratamento terapêutico, porém faltam estudos específicos para ampliação de evidências na prática clínica.
O complexo do ombro possui várias estruturas anatômicas que proporcionam a realização de diversos movimentos. As lesões do manguito rotador (MR) são as causas mais frequente de dor e incapacidade no ombro, estando entre as patologias mais comuns para indicação cirúrgica. A reabilitação fisioterapêutica é indispensável no tratamento imediato e tardio no pós-operatório nas lesões do manguito rotador, uma vez que os pacientes necessitam retornar o mais breve possível a sua vida cotidiana. O tratamento fisioterapêutico abrange diversas técnicas e protocolos. A base de dados consultadas foram Biblioteca virtual em Saúde (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Acadêmico e livros de anatomia, fisiologia e fisioterapia ortopédica dispostos no acervo da Biblioteca Júlio Bordignon da Faculdade de Educação e Meio Ambiente-FAEMA. Para esta revisão bibliográfica, utilizaram-se como estratégia de busca as palavras-chave: Manguito Rotador/Rotator Cuff, Reabilitação/Rehabilitation/ Rehabilitación; período pós-operatório/Postoperative Períod /Postoperatório e fisioterapia/ physiotherapy. Mediante o estudo realizado observa-se que a reabilitação fisioterapêutica apresenta resultados significativos e deve ser iniciada de forma precoce, desta forma evitando-se assim contraturas, rigidez e proporcionando ao paciente o retorno o mais breve possível a realizar suas atividades de vida diária.
