This report, prepared for the Community Planning Study -Snowmass 2013 -summarizes the theoretical motivations and the experimental efforts to search for baryon number violation, focussing on nucleon decay and neutron-antineutron oscillations. Present and future nucleon decay search experiments using large underground detectors, as well as planned neutron-antineutron oscillation search experiments with free neutron beams are highlighted. OverviewBaryon Number, B, is observed to be an extremely good symmetry of Nature. The stability of ordinary matter is attributed to the conservation of baryon number. The proton and the neutron are assigned B = +1, while their antiparticles have B = −1, and the leptons and antileptons all have B = 0. The proton, being the lightest of particles carrying a non-zero B, would then be absolutely stable if B is an exactly conserved quantum number. Hermann Weyl formulated the principle of conservation of baryon number in 1929 primarily to explain the stability of matter [1]. Weyl's suggestion was further elaborated by Stueckelberg [2] and Wigner [3] over the course of the next two decades. The absolute stability of matter, and the exact conservation of B, however, have been questioned both on theoretical and experimental grounds. Purpose – Action learning has long been a recognized mechanism for ensuring deep and effective learning. The purpose of this paper is to describe an MBA program where the approach to study is informed and driven by action learning. Design methodology/approach – The nature, ethos, and theoretical foundations of this degree are described. Action learning principles are outlined, the design of the course is described and its contribution to participants and their organizations considered. Findings – The effectiveness of an action learning approach in management education is demonstrated through consideration of the program, the nature of the learning experience it entails, students' experiences and their uptake of learning, examples of which are discussed in the paper. Research limitations/implications – The paper shows how a program can be formulated with action learning at its core and some of the implications of doing so. It also discusses the impact that action learning has on the effectiveness of participants in the workplace. Originality/value – Take‐up of an action learning approach in formal management education has been slow, the paper offers a unique example of how this can be integral to a course and lead individuals to develop new managerial mindsets.

Diamagnetic and muonium (Mu) fractions formed in low-pressure inert gases, by energetic muon implantation, have been studied using the technique of time-delayed radio frequency muon spin resonance (RF-μSR). Results obtained establish the validity of the long-held view that formation of these species is due only to prompt processes, and in turn confirms that the diamagnetic environment is due to a muon molecular ion, MMu+, and not a bare μ+. In addition, polarization fractions for the diamagnetic and Mu environments have been determined at different pressures, thereby complementing earlier data, and demonstrating that the RF-μSR technique provides polarization fractions in good accord with those obtained using conventional transverse-field muon spin resonance measurements.

Summary.— Three case of unilateral idiopathic hyperhidrosis are described. Two of the lesions were congenital; the thrid occurred in later life. Quantitative sweat collections demonstrated that the sweat glands in the lesion were hyperresponsive to those stimuli, which normally evoked sweating in the skin sites where the lesions occurred. Hyper‐responsiveness of the sweat glands to cholinergic stimuli was also demonstrated, and histology revealed greatly enalrged glands. These results suggest that the hyperhidrosis is due to Increased glandular mass, although sweat gland hypersensitivity could notberuled out as an additional contributing factor to the hyperhidrosis. Local anticholinergic therapy was found to besuccessful in the treatment of all 3 patients.
