This work has the modern furniture of the University of Brasília as theme. Modern Movement and its heritage are matters that have a privileged locus in the Federal Capital. During the construction of Brasília, and in particular of the UNB, many Brazilian architects and designers of the modernist period were invited to equip public buildings with furniture designed by them. The buildings at UNB still guard a considerable part of this furniture, however, they not always are recognized as a heritage to preserve and discussions about protection tend to ignore them, disregarding their contribution to the formation of the ambience as modern space. The curiosity to understand the mobile designed by architects and the need to recognize the contribution of their authors for the Brazilian furniture design, through the internal environment of the first buildings constructed for the UNB, are the intentions of this study. The end result is intended to recognize and identify the furniture designed between the 1960s and 1970 for the Darcy Ribeiro campus of the University of Brasília.
