<div><strong><em>Background:</em></strong><em> Heavy addiction to gadgets has a biological and psychological impact. According to the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) the prevalence of adolescents playing online games is 44.10% and in adolescents aged 10 to 24 years approximately 18.40% in the year 2016. In 2020 the results of research in the city of Bukittinggi showed 75% of adolescents used gadgets to play games. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between children's characteristics and the level of gadget addiction. <strong>Method</strong>: Research method This research is descriptive analytic using cross sectional approach. The study population was adolescents in the city of Bukittinggi. The sample technique is stratified random sampling of 130 people. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi_square test and nonparametric correlation. <strong>Result: </strong>The results and discussion showed that there was a significant relationship between the duration of waking up and the use of gadgets on the level of gadget addiction in adolescents with results (P value 0.013). There is no significant relationship between age and the level of gadget addiction with value (P value = 0.323). There is no significant relationship between gender and the level of gadget addiction (P value = 0.579). <strong>Conclusions: </strong>It needs continuous efforts from public health nurses, involving cross-sectoral education for schools and families related to gadget addiction.</em></div><div><em><br /></em></div><div><p><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>Characteristics, Gadget Addiction, Adolescents</em><em></em></p></div>
<p><strong><em>Background</em></strong><em>:</em> <em>Teenagers cannot survive without gadgets. Teenagers today are a generatbehavior in adolescents due to the use of gadgets is an urgent problem, this is caused because ion that cannot survive without gadgets, laptops, and cell phones for a minute. The use of gadgets causes dependence, one of the impacts that arise is violent behavior through social media. Gadget dependence in adolescence is a small part of the population, but has a very large contribution. This study aims to look at the characteristics of adolescents as gadget users, duration of use, applications that are widely used and the distribution of mental health of teenagers who use gadgets. <strong>Methods: </strong>This study uses a quantitative design. The research was conducted in West Sumatra. Children are given a questionnaire and fill out related to how the individual's mental response in using gadgets. The data were then analyzed using descriptive methods. <strong>Results: </strong>This study resulted in 273 respondents, 3.7% of respondents experienced delays in completing activities according to plan, 11.4% of respondents experienced a lack of concentration in learning, 20.2% of respondents experienced feelings of emptiness without gadgets, 11% experienced feelings of dependence on friends at school. virtual world than friends in the real world, 17.2 states that they never miss the latest news through gadgets, 10.6% of respondents feel angry when they are cannot used gadgets. <strong>Conclusion</strong>: This research shows that teenagers experience a variety of responses that they cannot control. Therefore, it is very important for families to set limits on the use of gadgets by limiting the duration of gadget use, increasing physical activity and returning children to the real world.</em><strong><em></em></strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p><strong>Introduction:</strong> tidur merupakan aspek penting dari kesehatan mental remaja. Remaja seringkali memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk karena gaya hidup dan juga tuntutan dari akademik. Remaja memilliki mengalami kesulitan dalam mempertahan kan kualitas tidur hal ini mengakibatkan mahasiswa kelelahan di siang hari.</p><p><strong>Aim:</strong> Mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi terhadap kesulitan tidur remaja di kota bukittinggi</p><p><strong>Method</strong>: Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pre eksperimen dengan pre post <em>quasy eksperimen one<strong> </strong>group pre test post test design </em>dengan pemberian aromaterapi kepada pasien. Rancangan analisis menggunakan <em>Wilcoxon Test</em><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Findings: </strong>2 remaja megalami kualitias tidur yang buruk, dimana 5 remaja mengalami latensi tidur yang tidak baik, dengan 4 remaja mengalami durasi tidur yang lama yaitu selama lebih dari 7 jam. Rata rata 1 remaja mengantuk di siang hari . terdapat 10 remaja yang mengalami gangguan tidur ringan dengan pemberian aroma terapi.</p><p><strong>Conclusion and recommendation:</strong>. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan kualitas tidur remaja baik setelah diberikan intervensi penerapan aromaterapi. Tidur sangat penting bagi perkembangan anak. Pelayanan kesehatan harus memiliki pengetahuan dalam membantu keluarga dengan meningkatkan kebiasaan tidur anak. <strong></strong></p>
Special needs children have very limited access to health information, this is the cause of children susceptible to disease. Based on data from Unicef 2020, infectious disease mortality is 10%. The emergence of disease in children is one of the reasons for the lack of cleanliness of the child, which needs to be explained to children, how to wash hands properly, one of which is with animation media. The purpose of this research is to apply the animated video of washing hands with response to children in special schools Bukittinggi. This type of research uses a mixed methods study. The research was conducted in the city of Bukittinggi in March-October 2020. The population in this study were 34 extraordinary school children. The results showed that as much knowledge about knowledge in the use of hands with soap was mostly in the low category (73.5%) . Respondents The most attitudes in hand soap are in the category of disagree (79.4%). Most of the respondents' actions in washing their hands with soap were in the non-doing category (85.3%). The facilities and infrastructure for washing hands using soap are at most adequate (64.7%). where there is a significant correlation between children's knowledge and children's ability to wash their hands in 6 steps properly and correctly with p-value = 0.000 and 2 themes are obtained on qualitative methods of children's physiological responses and hand activity patterns
