Methods are described for extracting organic-walled plant microfossils from New Zealand sediments. Modifications to existing techniques and laboratory equipment are featured. Emphasis is given to safety and protection of equipment. Methods for recording preparation details, mounting small residues, and storing unmounted residues are described.
