Este trabalho analisou o comportamento das potências anaeróbica lática e aeróbica durante as fases folicular e lútea do ciclo menstruai. O exercício físico induz respostas semelhantes entre os sexos. Entretanto, a mulher sofre flutuações significativas nos caminhos fisiológicos, uma vez que seus hormônios não são secretados continuamente durante o mês. Esse padrão rítmico é conhecido por ciclo feminino ou menstruai: este apresenta duas fases - folicular e lútea. Alguns autores afirmam que durante a fase lútea o desempenho declina, enquanto outros não encontraram diferenças. A presente amostra foi formada por 5 mulheres, com ciclo ovulatório, idade entre 20 e 40 anos, moderadamente ativas. Para verificar a potência anaeróbica lática, utilizou-se o teste em pista de atletismo de 40 segundos e para verificar a potência aeróbica, foi aplicado um teste progressivo máximo com análise direta do V02 em ciclo ergômetro. Utilizou-se a estatística descritiva, o teste t e a correlação de Pearson com um nível de significância de p<0,05. Não houve diferenças significativas nas potências anaeróbica lática e aeróbica. As variáveis fisiológicas, volume ventilatório e temperatura corporal, apresentaram respostas significativamente diferentes. Constatou-se ainda, casos que apresentaram queda significativa no V02 máximo.
Objetivo: verificar a concordância e a correlação entre duas metodologias distintas, utilizadas na obtenção do VO2 máx, as propostas por Foster et al. (T1) e Jackson et al., modelo 2, (T2). Metodologia: Os dados para análise, pertencentes a uma clínica privada em nosso município, foram obtidos mediante a assinatura dos Termos de Confidencialidade e Autorização Institucional. De acordo com os critérios de inclusão, 106 sujeitos (29 homens; 77 mulheres) formaram a amostra. O teste de Shapiro-Wilk, a análise descritiva, a análise de Bland e Altman e o coeficiente de correlação de Pearson, compuseram a análise estatística (nível de significância de 5%). Resultados: apesar das semelhanças, entre as médias obtidas, as metodologias demonstraram concordância somente no grupo masculino. Conclusão: em função dos resultados obtidos, e da enorme praticidade, sugere-se o método T2 para fins de prescrição do exercício, mas, o método T1 torna-se indispensável para avaliar a integridade do sistema cardiorrespiratório.
