Da uns der d -U o -v a l e raldehyd und das Produkt der Wassersbspaltung, das dl-Piperidein ah Ausgangsmaterial fur Alkaloidsynthesen unter physiologischen Bedingungen dienen sollte, mufiten wir uns zunachst mit der Untersuchung des dl-Pipcrideins bzw. seiner allcin in der Literatur beschricbcnen Polymeren befassen. @is jetzt sind zwei kristallisicrte Polymerc dcs &Piperideins beschrieben, eines vom Schmp. 61-62' und ein zweites vom Schmp. 97 -98'8). Ein drittes vom Schmp. 72-74', das mit den beidcn bekannten Polymeren eine starke Schmelzpunktserniedrigung gibt, haben wir im Verlauf dieser Arbeit aufgefunden. Wir werden im folgenden zeigcn, dafi allc diese Verbindungen jeweils aus dsei Molekiilen &-Piperidein aufgebaut sind, und bezeichncn das bei 61-62' schmelzende Polymere als a-Tripiperidein, das bci 72-74' schmclzendc Polymere als P-Trip i p r i d e i n und das bei 97-98' schmelzcnde als Zaotripiperidein. Wir konnen n-eiter zeigen, daB a-und p-Tripipcridein Stereoisomere dcr Konstitution V sind, und dafi sie unter geeigneten Bedingungen in 3 )Id. A'-Piperidein (IV) zcrfallen, also wahre Polymcrc dicser Verbindung darstellen. Fur das Isotripiperidein fiihrcn wir in1 folgendcn den Nachwcis, daU ihm die Formel V I zukommt, und dnB es untcr den Bedingungen, unter denen a -und p-Tripipcridcin 3 hrol.
