El estudio del suelo urbano mediante imágenes producidas por sensores remotos es ya reconocido y analizado por diferentes investigadores quienes coinciden en su gran utilidad, sin embargo, siempre hacen alusión a su resolución espacial exigiendo día a día un mejoramiento en los sensores y los productos que generan. Frente a esta situación este trabajo permite ofrecer un producto híbrido de gran utilidad para estudios urbanos derivado de la integración de una fotografía aérea y una imagen SPOT, utilizando la técnica de transformación de espacios de color RGB/IHS y viceversa. El producto resultante es una imagen multiespectral que posee las cualidades de la resolución espacial de la fotografía aérea y la resolución espectral de la imagen SPOT, superando las deficiencias que cada producto por separado presenta para la aplicación en estudios urbanos. La metodología aquí planteada se aplica a una zona de estudio, en donde se aprecia su utilidad y sus ventajas sobre el uso de los productos por separado.
