La creciente prevalencia de conductas suicidas en México es un tema que recientemente se ha expuesto en Salud Pública de México como un problema de salud pública. En Chile, las conductas suicidas y el suicidio son también de los principales problemas de salud; y si bien la tendencia mundial está marcada por la baja en las tasas de muerte por suicidio, nuestro país, por el contrario,presenta un aumento de 90% entre los años 1990 y 2011; con base en estadísticas de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE), Corea, Chile y México son los países miembros que más han crecido en cuanto a tasas de suicidio...
La gastronomía constituye una parte esencial de la experiencia turística, ya que forma parte del contexto social y cultural de los territorios y recrea las complejas relaciones históricas, sociales y productivas que han determinado un tipo de alimentación en un contexto particular. Los pueblos indígenas tienen potencial natural para el desarrollo del turismo especializado como el gastronómico, ya que poseen una amplia gama de recursos originales de su patrimonio natural y cultural, como es el caso de los mapuches de la región de La Araucanía. Este estudio busca analizar, desde la base de los motores de búsqueda de las plataformas digitales disponibles, la accesibilidad y calidad de la información hacia el turista, tipos de productos culinarios mapuches incluidos en la oferta turística, y la innovación como parte del desarrollo de un turismo gastronómico en la región. Se seleccionaron 11 emprendimientos de la región de La Araucanía, distribuidos en 7 comunas. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que existe una baja representación de la gastronomía mapuche, como concepto de búsqueda asociada al turismo a nivel internacional; la oferta gastronómica no es exclusivamente mapuche sino más bien una fusión campesina chilena con mapuche. La región de La Araucanía tiene experiencias variadas de emprendimientos mapuches que han comenzado a innovar en términos gastronómicos, creando nuevos productos asociados en algunos casos a restaurantes y otros a servicios de cocktelería para eventos; no obstante, ello no es la generalidad de lo que implica crear un producto turístico gastronómico, sino más bien está asociado a la atención de clientes específicos.
ResumenEste artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la percepción de movilidad social intergeneracional de estudiantes universitarios mapuche, a partir de la construcción de una tipología de proyecciones futuras con relación a las variables origen social y educacional de sus padres. La muestra estuvo conformada por 200 estudiantes, entre 18 y 28 años (M= 21.32 años; DT = 2.75), de los cuales el 63.5% fueron mujeres y el 36.5% hombres. El método utilizado fue el análisis de clúster bietápico, el cual es recomendado para variables categóricas. El análisis sugirió retener un modelo de cinco conglomerados de calidad buena (.7), según el criterio establecido por Kaufman y Rousseeuw (1990). La muestra fue analizada a partir de los conglomerados obtenidos, para describir sus características según variables sociodemográficas de interés. Los resultados señalan que las variables clase social de origen, educación de los padres y ruralidad, son factores determinantes en la percepción de movilidad social. A partir de la segmentación por conglomerados, se concluyó que el acceso a la educación superior no es un factor determinante en la proyección de movilidad social futura para los estudiantes universitarios mapuche y, cuando así lo perciben, se trata de una movilidad intraclase.
