Objetivo: avaliar os efeitos da suplementação da vitamina D em pacientes oncológicos sob cuidados paliativos. Métodos: foi realizada uma revisão integrativa através de um processo sistemático de seleção dos artigos nas bases de dados LILACS, COCHRANE e PUBMED. A fase de coleta dos dados ocorreu entre julho e novembro de 2020, e foram incluídos os trabalhos publicados em português, inglês e espanhol, entre os anos de 2000 e 2020, com resumos disponíveis nos bancos de dados informatizados selecionados e texto disponível na íntegra na internet ou fornecido pela fonte original. Como critérios de exclusão, definiram-se: os trabalhos que não se referiam à temática proposta; editoriais e cartas ao editor; ponto de vista; biografia; teses e dissertações. Foram definidos os seguintes descritores para busca: vitamina D, suplementação, cuidados paliativos e câncer. Resultados: a amostra foi composta por 10 artigos científicos. Foi observado que, de uma forma geral, a suplementação de vitamina D pode ter resultados positivos sobre a qualidade de vida, infecções, dor e uso de opioides. Também foi constatado que se trata de uma terapia bastante segura, com baixa incidência de efeitos adversos. Conclusão: a suplementação de vitamina D pode ser considerada uma terapia complementar segura e que pode trazer benefícios importantes a estes pacientes. A hipovitaminose D é bastante comum e pode ocasionar na piora da qualidade de vida e conforto do paciente oncológico em cuidados paliativos.
