Introduction. Cyanotic congenital heart disease (CHD) is an abnormality of the heart that causes blood with low oxygen content to circulate directly to the body.Objective. To evaluate the profile of cyanotic congenital heart disease at Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Surabaya.Methods. This is a descriptive study using medical records of cyanotic CHD patients aged ≤18 years old from June 2018 – May 2020. Gender, age, nutritional status, sign and symptom, type of cyanotic CHD, complication and treatment were taken as the variables.Result. Out of 116 patients in this study, the majority were male (58.62%). Most patients first diagnosed at the age of 0 – <1 year (76.72%) with normal nutritional status (51.72%). Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is the most common type (42.24%). Murmur was the most common sign and symptom (92.24%). Frequently observed complications were pneumonia (37.07%).Conclusion. Patients with cyanotic CHD are mostly male, diagnosed at the age of 0 – <1 year with normal nutritional status. TOF is the most common type. Most patients present with murmurs. Predominant complication is pneumonia.
Introduction: Hypertension, the silent killer, affects around one billion people worldwide. Therefore, efforts are necessary to raise public awareness. Objective: This research aims to assess the interactive online health education's impact on hypertension public health domain in the productive-age population in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Method: This non-randomized quasi-experimental study assessed the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding awareness of hypertension based on the comparison of pre-tests and post-test results after a virtual educational intervention. Recruitment of the participants was performed using a consecutive sampling method. Resident living in Ketabang and Pacar Keling sub-districts of Surabaya were recruited for this study. The study consisted of thirteen participants who took participated in a three-session educational intervention delivered virtually via Zoom Cloud Meetings. The study results were gathered using pre-test and post-test questionnaires via Google Forms. The knowledge domain was compared using a paired t-test, while the attitude and practice domains were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: After the educational intervention, the research disclosed significant differences between the knowledge and practice domain's pre-test and post-test mean scores (57.69 vs. 66.92; p = 0.046; and 31 vs. 32; p = 0.020). However, an examination of the attitude domain revealed indifference (33 vs. 34; p = 0.306). The impact of intervention via interactive online learning was demonstrated in this study by considerable improvements in knowledge and practice. However, the result of participants' attitudes did not alter significantly in this study. Conclusion: This study implies that providing public health promotion and education through online platforms can be used to improve hypertension awareness. Further better-designed and wider-scaled studies with a control group are needed to confirm our findings.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) continues to be a major contributor to morbidity, disability, and mortality in all age groups. Initial brain damage is accompanied by acute and irreversible primary damage to the parenchyma, while subsequent secondary brain damage often progresses slowly over months to years, thus providing a window for therapeutic intervention. The most frequent case which happened is excessive oxidative stress and calcium release after brain injury. Although some traditional antioxidants have been clinically approved, the efficacy is far from satisfactory due to their low ROS-scavenging efficiency, instability, toxicity, or inadequate penetration of the blood-brain barrier. Moreover, the combination of Nanozyme based-bandage with Pt/CeO2 atom catalysis with electrospinning nanofibers N-type voltage-gated calcium channel blocker (SNX-185) is predicted to be as promising as a potential novel to reduce secondary injury of TBI. Therefore, the duo could cut down morbidity and mortality rates because of TBI in the future, noninvasively.
ABSTRAK Pandemi COVID-19 membawa perubahan pada seluruh aspek termasuk kegiatan olahraga. Transmisi virus yang cepat berdampak pada pembatasan aktivitas. Meskipun demikian, olahraga merupakan salah satu gaya hidup sehat yang tetap harus dilakukan. Maka dari itu, diperlukan edukasi yang tepat dalam berolahraga di masa pandemi COVID-19 supaya tetap bisa berolahraga dan terhindar dari COVID-19. Kegiatan edukasi dilakukan melalui platform Instagram supaya menjangkau masyarakat luas. Sebelumnya, survei juga turut dilakukan sebagai landasan kegiatan edukasi. Hasil intervensi kegiatan edukasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman hingga tiga kali lipat berdasarkan hasil post-test dibandingkan dengan pre-test. Evaluasi kegiatan ini yang dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada para responden menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memberikan penilaian yang sangat baik terhadap materi yang dibawakan (64,7%), kesesuaian materi terhadap kondisi pandemi (76,47%), serta kebermanfaatan acara (73,52%). Dengan adanya peningkatan pemahaman ini, maka peningkatan dalam melakukan olahraga di masa pandemi COVID-19 dapat terjadi. The rapid transmission of the virus has an impact on activity restrictions. However, sport is a healthy activity that must be done. Therefore, proper education is needed in exercising during the COVID-19 pandemic so that you can still exercise and avoid COVID-19. Educational activities are carried out through the Instagram platform so that the reach can be broad. Public surveys are also carried out as a basis for the topic. The results of the education intervention showed an increase in understanding up to three times based on the results of the post-test compared to the pre-test. The evaluation of this activity which used a questionnaire distributed to the respondents showed that most of the respondents gave a very good assessment of the topic presented (64.7%), the suitability of the topic to pandemic conditions (76.47%), and the usefulness of the activity (73,52%). Green construction is a concept of sustainable development, which has three main pillars that must be balanced in its implementation namely, economic development, social development, and environmental preservation. The planning and implementation stages the construction process pays attention to the environment, is efficient in the use of natural resources and is environmentally friendly. This research is focused on the calculation of green construction cost analysis. The method used in this study is discussion and analysis with the RAB calculation. Cost calculation on structural works and 6 green construction factors such as land use, energy conservation, water conservation, material use, air quality, and environmental management. The difference in costs that occurred was quite large, namely Rp23.051.538.224. The work of the structure of the concept of green construction can save costs as much as Rp24,027,984,635 compared to conventional concepts. Whereas to apply the 6 other green construction concept factors, an additional fee of Rp.976.446.412 is required. The concept of green construction has a good impact on the environment and based on analysis can save construction costs.ABSTRAKKonstruksi hijau merupakan sebuah konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan, yang memiliki tiga pilar utama yang harus seimbang dalam pelaksanaannya yaitu, pembangunan ekonomi, pembangunan sosial, dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup. Tahap perencanaan dan pelaksanaan proses konstruksinya memperhatikan lingkungan, efisien dalam penggunaan sumber daya alam dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini difokuskan kepada perhitungan analisis biaya konstruksi hijau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah diskusi dan analisis dengan perhitungan RAB. Perhitungan biaya pada pekerjaan struktur dan 6 faktor konstruksi hijau seperti tepat guna lahan, konservasi energi, konservasi air, penggunaan material, kualitas udara, dan manajemen lingkungan. Selisih biaya yang terjadi cukup besar yaitu Rp23.051.538.224. Pekerjaan struktur konsep konstruksi hijau dapat menghemat biaya sebesar Rp24.027.984.635 dibandingkan dengan konsep konvensional. Sedangkan untuk menerapkan 6 faktor konsep konstruksi hijau lainnya maka dibutuhkan biaya tambahan sebesar Rp 976.446.412. Konsep konstruksi hijau memiliki dampak yang baik bagi lingkungan dan berdasarkan analisis dapat menghemat biaya pelaksanaan konstruksi.
