Introdução: os tumores cutâneos estão inseridos entre os mais incidentes e prevalentes no Brasil. Os tumores cutâneos podem ser divididos em melanoma e não melanoma. O não melanoma é composto principalmente pelo carcinoma espinocelular ou epidermoide (CEC) e pelo basocelular (CBC). Esses tumores geram grande morbidade devido à destruição tecidual adjacente. As opções de tratamento podem ser cirúrgicas ou não cirúrgicas. A identificação e apresentação de dados estatísticos poderão servir de referência para estudos epidemiológicos, auxiliar na adoção de políticas públicas envolvidas na prevenção primária e secundária bem como possibilitar uma melhor provisão de recursos necessários para uma assistência adequada. Objetivos: identificar o perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes com tumores cutâneos malignos, descrever a prevalência dos não melanoma, avaliar a margem cirúrgica e comparar os achados do perfil epidemiológico com a literatura. Métodos: estudo observacional, longitudinal e retrospectivo de pacientes submetidos à ressecção de lesões suspeitas em ambulatório no interior de São Paulo. Resultados: foram identificadas 774 lesões em 748 pacientes, com média de idade de 65,7 anos, predominância (53,1%) do gênero masculino e faixa etária superior a 60 anos (74,2%). O segmento mais acometido foi cabeça e pescoço (74,7%), sendo que 74,0% dos tumores eram constituídos por CBC e 26,0% por CEC. Após a excisão, 96,0% informaram margens livres e 4,0% registraram comprometimento. Constatamos associação estatisticamente significante entre gênero feminino e presença de lesões < 5 mm, com razão de 9:1 em relação ao gênero masculino.
