As úlceras venosas são lesões de pele comuns nos membros inferiores, causadas por problemas circulatórios. Devido a sua complexidade, necessitam do acompanhamento de uma equipe multidisciplinar. Neste contexto, o podólogo presta grande contribuição no atendimento primário desses pacientes pois, através de uma avaliação criteriosa dos membros inferiores, pode tratá-los e encaminhá-los ao especialista adequado. Neste estudo, foi realizada uma pesquisa de artigos científicos na base de dados do Google Acadêmico e SciELO, com o objetivo de determinar o processo de formação e desenvolvimento das úlceras venosas nos membros inferiores. Foram explanados os mecanismos através dos quais o indivíduo pode adquirir essas lesões, e foram discutidos os impactos ocasionados na rotina do paciente. A partir da análise dos artigos, foi verificado um resultado positivo quando há o trabalho da equipe multidisciplinar no atendimento ao paciente, buscando soluções e a melhora de sua qualidade de vida; e o podólogo auxilia na prevenção desta condição patológica conforme citado acima.
Estudos têm mostrado que a laserterapia pode contribuir para a analgesia e a cicatrização de feridas, sendo um poderoso tratamento auxiliar em pacientes que apresentam úlceras venosas. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo explanar a contribuição da laserterapia e a importância do trabalho multidisciplinar no tratamento de úlceras venosas através de uma revisão de literatura. As bases consultadas foram o Google Acadêmico, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), a Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) e National Library of Medicine (PUBMED), nas quais foram pesquisados trabalhos realizados entre os anos de 1998 e 2015. Ao final deste estudo, concluiu-se que a equipe multidisciplinar é extremamente importante para o tratamento de úlceras venosas, pois existe a necessidade de cuidados tópicos e sistêmicos. Neste sentido, a laserterapia é uma aliada para o bem-estar dos pacientes. Entretanto, ainda são necessários mais estudos relacionados à aplicação do laser e seus benefícios no tratamento de pacientes portadores desta patologia.
O Diabetes Mellitus é uma patologia complexa, que afeta o organismo de forma sistêmica, impactando a vida do paciente. Dentre as complicações advindas dessa condição está o pé diabético que, muitas vezes, incapacita e é a maior causa de amputações nos membros inferiores. Dada a sua complexidade, faz-se necessário a intervenção multidisciplinar dos profissionais da saúde para o tratamento do pé diabético. Considerando esta necessidade, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados CAPES, Google Acadêmico e SciELO com o objetivo de ressaltar a importância da atuação do podólogo como um dos profissionais da saúde que irá auxiliar na prevenção desta doença, orientando quanto aos cuidados dispensados aos pés. Portanto, por se tratar de uma síndrome, o diabetes requer o cuidado clínico de uma equipe multidisciplinar, tendo o podólogo como profissional ativo e importante na atenção primária, capaz de realizar um trabalho de prevenção e tratamento de podopatias.
