is a research associate in the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on issues related to increasing diversity in higher education computing programs through student recruitment and retention, and through innovative pedagogy. His most recent work investigates how individual, social, and organizational features influence faculty in their decisions to adopt student-centered teaching practices. Chris received his bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Colorado and his M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from Northeastern University in Boston.
