This study aims to verify how the sensations caused by it provide destabilizing strangeness, activating memories. Faz-nos vivenciar certas forças e intensidades existentes num beijo. Para tanto, produz deslocamentos no plano tradicional da imagem, proporcionando-nos a dimensão de estarmos dentro do beijo, nesse provável chegar entre, reconhecível aqui como um movimento entre, como um movimento vibratório ou como uma duração intensiva de movimento.Este tipo de fenômeno ocorre não apenas por meio das intervenções que o artista produz no plano interno das imagens e sons (na edição e processamento), mas também nas articulações que promove para fora do plano da tela (no ambiente instalativo como um todo). Para tanto, em seus procedimentos, disponibiliza múltiplas telas (contendo cada uma delas o mesmo conteúdo) apresentadas fora de sincronia.Além disso, produz intervenções no espaço físico por meio de luzes estroboscópicas. Busca, com isso, intensificar a experiência audiovisual entre o dentro e o fora da tela, ativando, em tempo real, vibrações no corpo do visitante. Por meio dessas mutações na organização espaço--temporal, duVa descobre que não basta fazer as imagens se moverem, Memória do corpoEm seu processo criativo, num momento seguinte à produção do plano interno das imagens, luiz duVa organiza a apresentação ao público de Retratos in motion: o beijo por meio de um ambiente instalativo composto por três telas de vídeo, como um tríptico, que traduz e reverbera o pulsar do beijo como dimensões temporais expandidas nelas mesmas.As três telas de vídeo apresentam a mesma imagem e som dispostos de forma descontínua, em delay uns em relação aos outros. São mostrados fora de sincronia, o que propicia um diálogo confuso, entró-pico, desacertado entre elas.Nesse jogo descontínuo, estranho e cintilante entre som e imagem, duVa promove uma pulsação não apenas no âmbito das telas, mas também no âmbito do espaço sensório como um todo, ampliada, agora, a todo o ambiente arquitetônico e ao corpo do visitante.É nesse contexto que percebemos a força da imagem produzida em Retratos in motion: o beijo de sair da dimensão da tela, tomar contato com o corpo do visitante e ocupar o espaço físico. Nessa direção, podemos dizer que a imagem atravessa o sujeito, produzindo vibrações e intensidades inusitadas.Complementar ao modo como distribui as telas no espaço instalativo, o artista também inclui uma luz estroboscópica que acentua a pulsação do ambiente, aguçando a sensação de vibração no espaço sensório.A luz que cintila das três telas é assim redimensionada pela fonte de luz estroboscópica. Ambas produzem contínuos atravessamentos no corpo do visitante e momentaneamente cegam seus olhos, promovendo, com isso, a experiência de uma imagem presa na retina. No caso, trata-se da chamada "memória do corpo" revelada...
