O Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação Docência (PIBID) surge da necessidade de um espaço para interlocução entre a universidade e a escola de Educação Básica, a fim de contribuir para a elevação da qualidade de ensino da rede pública. Nesse sentido, pretende-se ampliar as dinâmicas de concepções e práticas de ensino, promovendo uma articulação entre a teoria e prática: entre a educação superior e a básica. Essa proposta visa melhorias para a formação docente, onde o aluno de licenciatura é oportunizado a inserção no ambiente escolar, participando de planejamentos e execução de metodologias inovadoras, estimulando o uso de novas tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação.
A abordagem de temas sociocientíficos a partir da perspectiva CTS/CTSA (Ciência, Tecnologia, Sociedade e Ambiente) na educação objetiva explicitar a dimensão social do desenvolvimento científico-tecnológico como produto resultante de fatores culturais, políticos e econômicos, proporcionando mudanças no contexto escolar e posicionando a ciência e a tecnologia como novas concepções vinculadas ao contexto social (SANTOS, 2010).Neste contexto, é necessária a criação de meios que favoreçam a ampliação das dinâmicas de concepções e práticas de ensino, promovendo uma articulação entre a teoria e a prática, ou seja, potencializa o diálogo entre o que é estudado no ambiente escolar e o que se aplica em seu dia-a-dia.Nessa perspectiva, o presente capítulo apresenta uma sequência didática para inserção do enfoque CTS/CTSA na reciclagem de óleo de fritura para produção de sabão, com estudantes de 3º ano da EEEM ELZA LEMOS ANDREATTA da rede pública estadual do Espiríto Santo.
